prplWrt is an open-source, enterprise-grade software framework designed to power the next generation of WiFi routers and gateways.

Drawing on contributions from community projects as well as commercial software stacks, prplWrt will enable a quick and smooth transition from the highly fragmented vendor stacks to a common baseline with APIs and frameworks for high customization and differentiation without sacrificing security or updateability.

Once available, Internet service providers and retail brands alike will be able to request their vendors to implement and comply with prplWrt, which will not only contain a secure and stable software baseline, but also include tools for testing, professional certification as well as monthly security updates and continuous feature development.
