David Barr

prpl Foundation

Dave Barr is prpl’s longest-serving Board member, having chaired the Technical Steering Committee during modern prpl’s formative years since 2017. 

He founded and led the successful Wi-Fi EasyMesh effort, now adopted and certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. 

Previous work includes MAC- and PHY-layer specifications for home-networking (e.g., MoCA) and next-gen access (e.g., full-duplex DoCSIS) technologies, including co-founding the IEEE 1905.1 Standard (upon which EasyMesh is based).
