Obtaining prplWare Certification confirms your solution’s compliance with prplOS 3.1.0 standards, ensuring it is ready for real-world applications in an ever-evolving networking landscape. prplWare Certification is only available to prpl Foundation members. Here’s how to get certified:
Testing must be conducted using the QA Cafe CDRouter certification tool, which enables comprehensive validation of your solution’s compatibility with prplWare standards.
To qualify, the solution must successfully pass both the HL-API Test Plan and prplOS Test Plan.
HL-API Test Plan: All tests in this plan must be completed with passing results.
prplOS Test Plan: Completing all mandatory tests with passing results is required (see prpl Wiki for more info on the release of this plan).
Once testing is completed, submit your signed test results from CDRouter to the prpl Foundation for review. The prpl Foundation will validate the results and confirm certification. To begin the certification review process, email [email protected]
Certification requires proof that testing has been conducted on the correct prplWare components. This can be done by shipping the a sample of the device to the prpl Foundation.
The table below lists for every release of prplWare, the version of the components it includes. For all components except the linux kernel, the versions listed in the overview are to be respected. When a linux kernel is used that is more recent than the recommended version, it must be an LTS version.
In case an older linux kernel is used, the integrator is reponsible for ensuring al necessary linux interfaces are supported (e.g. backported).
