LOS ALTOS, CA, Sept. 3, 2014 – Amit Rohatgi, president of the prpl Foundation, the recently established open-source non-profit foundation focused on enabling next-generation datacenter-to-device portable software and virtualized architectures, will be the keynote speaker tomorrow at a seminar sponsored by the Chinese Institute of Engineers/USA-San Francisco Bay Area Chapter.
The Sept. 4 event runs from 7-8:30 PM with registration beginning at 6:30 PM. It will be held at ITRI International, 2870 Zanker Rd., Suite 140, San Jose (free parking). Rohatgi will outline the market and technical challenges as well as the essential measures in the design phase for securing our ever-more-connected digital world. He will also discuss why open-source is appropriately suited for addressing these challenges and how the prpl Foundation is tackling this from the ground-up.
