Explore our dedicated working groups that drive innovation, standardization, and security in the connected home industry.

prplWare is a comprehensive open-source suite developed by the prpl Foundation. It consists of five key components:

prplOS is an open-source software stack that streamlines the development and deployment of connected home services. PrplOS enables operators to integrate innovative solutions and deliver high-quality, interoperable consumer services by providing a standardized platform.

prplMesh is an open-source implementation of Wi-Fi mesh networks that enables carrier-grade management for both local and cloud-based applications. It allows service providers and users to deploy scalable, customizable Wi-Fi solutions, creating reliable connectivity throughout the home.

prpl Life-Cycle Management (LCM) is a platform-independent solution that enables Service Providers to securely manage the individual life cycles of containerized software components (e.g., Download, Install, Launch, Pause, Update, Restart, Uninstall). Orchestration of apps and microservices can be managed from the cloud via industry-standardized tools such as Broadband Forum USP and the TR-181 Device:2 Data Model. The LCM working group collaborates with the Broadband Forum and RDK communities.

prplSecurity is an open security framework that provides end-to-end trust for embedded, networking, and datacenter environments. It enables multi-tenant security across processors and heterogeneous SoCs, ensuring robust protection for routers, gateways, and connected devices. Developed through industry collaboration, it helps organizations secure virtualized services with a standardized, scalable approach.
